Mealconomy

About

A planner that respects the number on your budget

Most people don’t plan meals for fun. They plan because there’s a fixed amount of money for food this week and it has to stretch. Every meal-planning app we tried ignored that — you picked recipes and hoped the total worked out.

Mealconomy inverts it. You set the budget first. The app builds a week that fits, reusing ingredients so nothing is bought to be thrown away, and it shows the cost of every serving so there are no surprises at the till.

How the pricing works

Costs come from a deterministic engine that prices ingredients against real regional grocery data — not an estimate a language model made up. The same plan always costs the same, and you can trace every figure. Where we don’t yet have solid local pricing, we say so and mark the numbers as estimates.

What’s next

More regions, more of the catalogue, and the receipt loop getting tighter every week people use it.
